Back to the Moon
Kudos to the Bad Astronomer for this link to a trailer for going back to the moon made by NASA. I think Phil is right, NASA needs to get people excited about going back to the moon and by putting things like this in theaters, they could go a long way to generating the positive buzz they need to get the public behind them.
My kids are young, but I talk to them about going to the Moon and Mars all the time. I want them to remain excited about their prospects. I think it gives them an exciting reason to get good grades. I never had that when I was in school. NASA was washed up by then.
Here’s hoping NASA hires a movie director and Industrial Light and Magic for the next ones!
